Parkhead Cross Dental Practice

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As of Monday 17th August we are allowed to carry out URGENT Aerosol Generating Procedures ( AGPS) under the NHS.

This means that we can use the drill again but only to do things like removing the nerve from a tooth if patient is in severe pain or to carry out difficult surgical extractions within the practice.

We no longer need to refer to Urgent Care Centres.

At this stage we are still unable to provide routine fillings, scalings, root treatments, crowns, bridges or veneers under the NHS.

We have not been provided with a date for routine care to resume.

We know how incredibly frustrating this is for our patients with outstanding treatment.

Due to this we have spent a lot of time working on and testing new operating procedures, purchasing our own enhanced PPE and staff training etc

We feel content that we can now safely offer routine care like scalings, crowns and bridgework again independently of the NHS. We feel our patients should have access to these services should they choose to do so on a private basis during this period.

We are able to offer routine treatments for a one off private fee until they become available on the NHS again. If you wish to consider a private option, please call us on 0141-554-0499 or email us at parkheadcrossdentalpractice@gmail.com

We have a waiting list for people we know need routine NHS AGPs and will be in touch to arrange appointments when we can. To be clear we are not ‘going private’ and that patients who choose to wait till we can carry out routine care on the NHS, can absolutely do so.

We have received a lot of kind messages during this difficult time and it has been greatly appreciated. Thank you for your patience and your continued support.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Always made to feel at ease from the moment I walk in the door to the minute I leave. I wouldn’t get any dental treatment done anywhere else. My family and I have been patient’s for many years and would not go anywhere else. Would highly recommend

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff who helped me over the past month. I have a crippling phobia of dentist and once aware of this the staff here put me at ease and took as much time as I needed. I was referred onto The Albion for surgery but the staff in Parkhesd prepared me for everything. I have never been happier or more at ease at a dentist in my entire life.

I’ve been a patient if this practice since Alistair Kesson was there and when he left the practice Andrew Cowan has since then been my dentist. Today I had a difficult back tooth removed by Andrew and he was absolutely brilliant in how he cared fir myself as quite honestly I am scared of the dentist but I go as it is a necessity regarding your health . To anyone out there scared of the dentist then please consider going to this practice as it is first class care without a doubt …
